Glenshee, Inverness, Fort William, Loch Lomond, Cheshire Oak Liverpool, Bangor - Day 6 of May 23

Spittal Glenshee room package does not come with breakfast, so we had breakfast with sandwich, sadin cap ayam, Milo tarik and susu Junjung that we had brought along. Next morning, we wandered around the hotel taking photos. Not able to stay outdoor for too long since the winds are cold and strong. The temperature hovers around 8 degree. It has been raining since the day we arrived yesterday.

We packed up and drive northeast towards Inverness. The drive meandearing the mountain slope took us 3 hours although the distance is 150 km away. We took photos as we drove along but the cold wind of the mountain keep us taking photos mostly from inside the car.

Lochness of Scotland

We continue the journey for another 90 minutes driving towards Fort William in the west of Scotland. I had booked a train ticket from Fort William to Mallaig for a scenic view of the mountain and lakes. The purchase via internet cost 12 pound each for 2 way round trip. Arrived at the train station 45 min prior to departure.

After  waited for about an hour, the station master announced that Scot Railway has to close the line between Fort William and Mallaig due to power and line disruption due to uprooted trees along the tracks. We got the money refunded. Tak ada rezeki, so we proceed to our lodging place.

We booked a bed and breakfast (B&B) to experience the life of the Scottish people at the Camfield House. The owner occupied a room and they rented the other rooms to the tourist. Over breakfast, I had a chat with a German couple. We did not converse much since they know little English.

Had a long chat with the house owner over breakfast. He had coffee and English meal served. The house sits by the lake overlooking the mountains. Cost 70 pound per night.

We packed up and drive south towards Wales. Along the way, we took more photos and stop over at service station to ease ourselves. The drive took 12 hours with several break along the way.

We stop by a large lake called Loch Lomond.

Loch Lomond boat ride

Close to Liverpool we stop at Cheshire Oak Outlet. Hazim got a frog-skin sunglass, a pair of Van-branded  shoe and the wife got Portmeirion plates. Humaira lost one pound in the sweets-dispensing machine.

Arrived at Abberfield Hotel in Bangor Wales at 9.00pm. The sky is still clear as the sun sets at 9.30pm.
