Melaka - ISO Meeting

Travel to Melaka on 19 April to attend 5 days ISO Meeting hosting 200+ delegates worldwide. However due to closure of all airport in Europe due to ash from Iceland volcano, most participants from Europe did not come.

Arrived at 12pm. Since it was lunch time, had nasi lauk ikan masak asam at a food outlet across Banda Hilir Police Station along Jalan Ujung Pasir. Unlike KL, they served all sorts of kueh during lunch right until evening.

Checked in to Equatorial hotel and was placed at the 17th Floor. The room was excellent since the hotel was recently refurbished.

On the second night, we were treated with sea food and cultural show by Melaka Tourism at Umbai Seafood Food Court.

For lunch next day we had nasi kari kepala ikan Hjh Rahmah at Bukit Katil along Jalan M107 close to Sekolah Kebg Dato Demang Husin. Rasa macam kari utara wife aku masak saja. Kueh was also served.

The following morning, we went to Klebang along Jalan Tengkera next to Surau Al Rahmah for nasik lemak & roti canai arang. Delicious.

Above is foodstall at Klebang where we had the breakfast. This is the front side. The back side where we sat for breakfast faces the padi fields. Nasi lemak/putih comes with ikan asam pedas. Roti canai is cooked the old fashion way using charcoal (kayu arang). Kari kambing and kari ikan bawal are also served.

The night later we had dinner at a stall by the pasar borong Batu Berendam. It is called Asam Pedas Hj Hamzah. It opens from 6pm until 6am.

Lunch the next day is at a stall across Jabatan Penyiaran. They served Nasi Briyani Gam kambing, chicken & beef.

The following night, had sup gearbox and bakso.
Almost 15 members attended ISO Seminar at Equatorial Hotel and we ended up for evening gathering at Pameswara Seafood outlet in Pernu. We hosted about 30 people plus family members. Later we took a boat ride along Melaka River.

Met a couple Tom from Australia on the boat cruise.
