Osaka Day 2 - Umeda, Dotonbori

On 2nd day we went to Umeda, Osaka central transport station with connections to all over Japan. The underground train station had similar system just like the ones in London and Paris. The difficult part is that the signboard were in Japanese with litle English. So i have to ask around to buy tickets from the dispensing machine.

The walk from the hotel for Umeda took us to the Dotonbori area.  The place is a popular  area where tourist and locals hang around. The street stretches for almost a kilometer long. We stopped over at the local brand Evisu jeans outlet to take photos. A jeans itself cost Rm800, so tengok aje ler.

Dotonbori is also popular for different sea food cuisine. We took the standard local dish rice served with fish fillet, bean sprout, taufu soup. A simple lunch for two cost rm70. All outlet had their dish displayed and thus there were no difficulty in ordering our food. After walking for almost a km, we took the underground train from Sansaibashi to Umeda.

Umeda has vast underground pedestrian linking all the shopping outlet. You will not be able to find many people on the street since most of them are using the underground walkway interconnecting the numerous shopping malls.
The reason we were visiting Umeda is to go to the electronic outlet called Yodobashi Camera outlet. They not only sell camera but other items like electrical stuffs, games, camera. I got some mountain bike accesories from here. It is similar to Lowyat back home. Bought some watches and perfumes.

We spent about two hours there browsing thro' the electronic gadgets. Did not buy much since the gadgets display were in Japanese and would not be useful to own them. We tour the area to Hankyu store and later return to Nanba back to the hotel. Each time we use the ticket machine, we had to get assistance from the local passenger to buy ticket for us since the instruction were all in Japanese.
