Osaka Day 6 - Packing for Home

We woke early getting ready to return to Malaysia. Yoshiko prepared breakfast for us. Akiyo left much earlier at 7 for work. We had a family photo in front of their apartment house.

Nishinomiya Bus Schedule

The family sent us to the bus stop for the 8.25`am bus. The airport bus departs every hour from Hanshin Nishinomiya Bus Station which is the closest to their home. We were the first to arrive. There was no ticket counter. Ticket were sold on-site by the bus representative who came 15 minutes before each bus departure time. The fare to Kansai airport from Nishinomiya was 1700Yen. Passenger queue was getting longer. There were a total of 15 including us. The bus arrived on time. It was full. Only 5 of us in the queue were allowed to board the bus. We not able to find any seat and I was quite surprised why the driver had allowed us in. I was standing for a while and felt rather embarrass when I found out that I could pull out a folded seat along the bus aisle. The ride to the airport was 1 hour. Kansai airport was constructed on a reclaimed island in the sea and has efficient rail, bus, ferry linkages to the city centre.

Approaching Kansai Airport
Our flight was at 4.55pm. We left early since we were planning to do a last minute shopping at Rinku Premium Outlet close to the airport. We reached the airport at 930am. Deposit our luggage at the airport locker at the rate of Yen200 per locker per day. Rinku Outlet is just 15 minutes away from the airport and there is bus shuttle plying between the two.
The bus service cost Y100 while the train cost Y350. We took the bus since it stops right  at the outlet & at stop no 12 outside Kansai arrival hall.

The wife bought Coach bags for herself and our daughter. After spending almost 3 hours at the outlet, we took the 1.05pm bus back to Kansai Airport. The check-in queue was long but the check in process was quick since they had open many counters. Boarding time was 4.10 pm and we had a quick coffee and bought some local chocolates to dispose all the Japanese coins. Unlike the flight from KL to Osaka, this time me & wife were seated together by the window. The flight was almost full with Malaysian parents attending their child graduation in Japan and other nationalities mostly Chinese on holiday to Malaysia from mainland China. Landed at KLIA 11 pm and arrived home 1 am morning, alhamdulillah.

The 5 nights stay in Osaka cost us RM2k on air fare for two, 1k for hotel accommodation and 1k for food and local transportation. Exclude shopping of course.
